How it works
TracRate is designed for efficiency and simplicity. Here's how you get up and running:
1. Sign up and set your rate
Start your free trial and enter your flat rate, goal hours and pay period length to tailor the app to your shop's schedule.
2. Add repair orders
Create a new RO with the job's details, pay rate, flagged hours and any notes. You can keep jobs separate and link them later.
3. Log your jobs and op codes
Use your saved op code templates or enter new tasks, record flagged and actual hours and categorize each job by labor type and payroll status.
4. Track progress through the pay period
View real-time totals for flagged, actual and projected hours along with gross pay and efficiency. See how close you are to your goals each day.
5. Review and export
At the end of your pay period, mark jobs as paid or unpaid, review your hours and export your data to PDF or CSV for your records.
6. Start a new pay period
Once you've reviewed and exported your final totals, close out your current pay period by updating pay status and goals as needed. Begin a fresh pay period and keep tracking—your settings and templates stay saved for next time.

Everyone's shop is different. TracRate lets you adjust key settings so the app matches your workflow:
Flat rate & pay tiers:
Set your base flat rate and create tiers that kick in once you hit specific hours. Rates adjust automatically when you reach each tier.
Goal hours & efficiency
Choose how many hours you need to flag per period and set a target efficiency percentage. TracRate calculates your pace so you know if you're on track.
Pay period length
Whether your shop pays weekly or bi-weekly, set the number of days in your pay period to align with your schedule.
Dark or light theme
Switch between dark and light modes to suit your environment and reduce eye strain.
Labor types & payroll status
Define categories like customer pay, warranty, internal and diagnostic, and mark each job as paid, unpaid, short paid or missing. Filter and group your lists accordingly.
Sync & account management:
Manage your Vecogo account from within the app. Your data stays synced across devices and is always private.
